PERFORMANCE
Today's ethical dilemma surrounds the use of anabolic
steroids to enhance athletic performance.
Over the course of the next hour, you
will be asked to question your feelings in
regards to athleticism, leveling the playing field,
competition, and even cheating. The age-old
question, "Does the end justify the means?"
will be a recurrent thread through our discussions. After we apply an introductory focus
for this topic, we will proceed to a couple of modules designed to study particular aspects of this controversial
issue in greater depth and breadth. Keep in mind, however, that ethics
is all about
asking questions. You, the participants, supply your own
answers.
